Doc Stull is a multidimensional and never conventional retired university professor, writer, and performer. He hosted a classics literature radio show for 20 years, wrote and narrated 75 sport history shows for ESPN sports and was a jazz reviewer/interviewer for the New Books Network.
According to Stull, his show combines his history of familial storytelling — from his vaudevillesque grandfather and Methodist educator grandmother to his former minister/philosophy professor/international consultant/gadfly father and theatrical/classical singer mother, as well as selected poetry/prose pieces from his travels in Germany, Israel, and Portugal.
The show also features Matt McClimon, vibes, and Nicholas Dominic Talvola, trumpet. RLA is made up of Tim Randles, keyboard, Mike LaBolle, drums, and Ken Lawrence, bass.
