Doc will be talking about South African President Nelson Mandella and his belief in sport as cultural unifier – Mandella’s unique role in the 1995 World Rugby Championship that united South Africans, both black and white and became the basis for the movie Invictus (2009) as well as Mandella’s  identification with the sport of boxing and his idolization of American champion Joe Louis during the 1930’s.
