Since March of 2011, Doc has been a Volunteer Docent/Tour Leader at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen, CA in the wine country of Sonoma County. London, who died at the age of forty in 1916 wrote 50 books on topics ranging from adventure, sailing, social justice, sport, science fiction and was an accomplished photo-journalist, too.
Doc leads tours and special events at the Park including walks to the eerie ruins of the historic Wolf House – the house that Jack built to stand 1000 years. The house was destroyed by fire, but visitors from all over the world come to pay homage to London’s legacy there as well as visit Jack’s modest grave-site on a knoll nearby.
