The Roaring Twenties boxing superstar undefeated-as-a-heavyweight champion no one remembers.  He lost only one fight -as a light-heavy.  Knocked down only once, retired in his thirties, married a millionairess,, read the classics, lectured on Shakespeare at Yale  – and one of the greatest fighters and heavyweight champions who ever lived, beating Jack Dempsey twice.   The greatest Irish-American athlete ever, patriot, the “Fighting Marine”….a man for all seasons…amazing…but no-one recognized him on the street and he never talked about his career with his children – Gene Tunney.
